The IVS Degree Show arrives each year with a sense of anticipation that gathers around students, their families, and the faculty who have witnessed their journeys. After years of work, the graduating class reveals what they have shaped from that time and effort, filling the campus with the energy of new beginnings. Across the five departments, Fine Art rises like an open horizon, a wide and shifting landscape where young artists test the edges of their own thinking. Many move beyond traditional practices and step into more exploratory terrain, searching for forms that can hold their questions, their imaginations, and the weight of the worlds they inhabit. In their work, the concerns of their social and political surroundings surface gently or urgently, giving viewers a glimpse into how these emerging artists are learning to see, respond, and speak through their chosen materials.
