As the event reaches the metropolis, Karachiites mark their calendars for October 4th and 5th to experience an amazing event at Expo Center.

Karachi will be witnessing a celebration of craft, creativity, and culture as Daachi Arts and Crafts Exhibition arrives in town on 4 & 5 October, 2025 at Expo Center Hall No. 6. Day and night, the crowds will get to enter a world of tradition and innovation where the age-old artistry of Pakistan’s craftsmen is presented with pride.

A Celebration of Craft Heritage

The show is more than a bazaar—it’s an experience. Picture yourself strolling among hundreds of stalls laden with terracotta and glazed ceramics, carved wood, woven and decorated fabrics, rugs and kilims, basketry, folk toys, and breathtaking traditional silver jewellery. In addition to these centuries-old treasures, there are contemporary designers reinterpretating craft in new ways with fresh designs, homage to motifs and techniques transmitted across generations.

And it’s not only shopping. There will also be an art gallery and home-style organic food made by skilled chefs, which will provide guests with a flavor of Pakistan’s rich creativity and cuisine within one setting.

The Story Behind Daachi

The Daachi Arts and Crafts Exhibition is the pinnacle program of the Daachi Foundation, which was established in 2010 by Ayesha Noorani and her passionate team of architects, designers, and artists. Since the establishment of the foundation, the foundation has been working extensively to create livelihood for artisans while ensuring that the vulnerable crafts continue to exist.

By way of exhibitions—22 to date in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi—Daachi has established a self-sustaining platform on which artisans can engage directly with city audiences. The platform also intervenes when there is crisis, providing financial assistance to craft communities affected by natural disasters and the pandemic. Notably, each Daachi exhibition provides free stalls to distressed artisans and NGOs working for craft, with inclusivity and assistance to those who are most disadvantaged.

Looking forward, the foundation sees Daachi Nagar as a permanent craft village with the single-minded purpose of development, exposure, and earning opportunities for artisans from all over the nation.

Why It Matters

In an era where machine-made goods overwhelm markets, Daachi serves as a testament to the value, beauty, and strength of handmade pieces. Every product is a testament—of tradition, of survival, and of imagination born out of centuries. Going to the exhibition is not merely a chance to shop; it’s a means to keep these testimonies alive.
