Sangat exhibition is the 1st collaboration between two faculties of Multan college of Arts BZU and College of art and design. It’s the first regional joint venture to create a landscape for upcoming artists by showcasing 50 works of 26 artists. This exhibition was a great opportunity for faculty members to exhibit their work and through their work; they highlight social and personal themes, alongside juxtaposing the traditional and contemporary.
As Dr. Blackwood Meeks, once said,: “sometimes artists do what they do knowing, that even as they express themselves, the benefit is for others. Their purpose is to commit to canvas or whatever media they employ, ideas about issues that move them politically, spiritually or philosophically. In the process they also create a sense of beauty, to explore the nature of perception, step on a few sensibilities. And when all of that is done, it matters not what you intend.”
The exhibition will remain open from 9th May – 11th May 2018 from 9am to 5pm.
