AMIN GULGEE – “7”
The general project, activated with the Superintendence since 2016, is dedicated to the presentation at the Capitoline exhibition spaces of some international installations coming from the “International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia” and from “OPEN International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations” , connected to the “Venice International Film Festival”, recomposed and remodeled site-specific specifically for the Capital. The declared aim is to bring together the art “perspectives” of two cities that work to make international art experience travel on the national territory. From the lagoon city to the capital.
On the occasion of this new appointment, the installation of the Pakistani artist AMIN GULGEE is presented, which made laicity and poetry an art form, entitled “7”.
The opening day will take shape the performance created by Gulgee and the reading of poets invited by the artist himself to read their poems and writings inspired by the theme of the work. The poets will be: Lucianna Argentino, Italo Benedetti, Stella Cacciamani, Antonella Maria Carfora, Patrizia Chianese, Laura Colombo, Rossana Coratella, Francesco Del Ferro, Stefania Di Lino, Andrea Felice, Camelia Mirescu, Daniela Monosi, Angelo Palombini and Maria Grazia Savino. The public will also be invited to write declarations of peace and love as a potential sign of freedom of the spirits united by the same thought that becomes action. Art for all, therefore, and not just the privilege of elected spirits.
